Via Local Projects interventions are either undertaken directly by Community Chaplaincy teams, or by specialised organisations in particular areas of work, depending on existing local provision. Where input is given by a third party the Community Chaplaincy Projects continue to offer support in other areas, and around the third party provision, in order to support its success. This type of services is often seen as “the glue” in the ex-offenders care plan, which could be said to hold it together. This kind of support, though often referred to as being “soft outcome” in nature, is well documented as being vital to the success of “harder outcome” services and thus to the overall success of an offenders rehabilitation.
